Spooky Elopement Style Shoot

Nicole and Robb

Welcome October! First of all, Thanks for stopping by.
I am excited to start blogging documentation of my shenanigans with some of my favorite humans.

The first of these fun stories is Nicole and Robb’s spooky style shoot, super fitting to wave hello to October if I do say so myself. When my good friend Karli reached out to me telling me that Nicole (her sister in law) wanted to do this shoot I knew immediately that I had to be the one to do it. October is my favorite month here in the midwest. I’m that girl who would own the entire Target Halloween decor collection if money wasn’t an issue. The light is warmer, the leaves start changing, sweaters and boots come out, scary movies, all pumpkin flavored things, do I need to go on? I could. Anyway. Nicole and Robb have been married 18 years and seem to still be crazy about each other. They eloped and never had professional portraits taken. If they had I have a strong feeling they would’ve looked a lot like this. The entire idea was theirs but I had a blast in really helping make the vision a reality. When I reached out to the epic florist Leah from floradashery regarding the bouquet (which was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen) she mentioned checking out Smith’s Chapel here in Niles, Michigan. The 1800’s Chapel was the perfect location to make it happen. When Nicole mentioned she purchased ten smoke bombs and their motorcycle was being included, I knew we were going to make some magic. Thank you both for inspiring me. I couldn’t be happier with how the images turned out.
I hope all of you reading this love them as much as we do!
