This wedding, y’all. I can’t put into words how beautiful it was. Brittany and Josh compliment each other so well in so many ways. I was blessed to get to take part in their wedding day. Brittany and I go way back. *wink*
Full disclosure. We’re cousins. Still though, we were cool as cucumbers when we were little. Brittany and I since parted ways. Adult life, etc. So when She reached out to be about photographing her wedding day I was just pumped to get to see her, it had been so long. Then she told me that the wedding was going to take place at Picture Rocks National Park in the Upper Peninsula of our little mitten state, I may have jumped up and down excited at the prospect of getting to photograph in such a beautiful place. Anywhoo. She hired me and I was overjoyed.
A dear friend of mine, Darian was kind enough to be my partner in crime the entire trip. She kept me awake while driving-keeping us both alive. Kept me hydrated, laughing, and having fun the entire wedding day. For that I am forever thankful. Oh, and she’s super talented and took one of my favorite images of the day pictured below.
(check out more of her work out here)
A couple short weeks after marinading myself in all the gorgeousness of their wedding images, they invited me back to photograph their more local reception that took place in an airplane hanger at Benton Harbor’s Southwest Michigan Regional Airport. Hanging out with these two again was fun seeing as I don’t usually get the opportunity to photograph my couples dressed to the nines in their wedding attire twice. BONUS. Enjoy these photographs. Of which do not include a photo of the epic Mac and cheese they served at their reception. Because I ate it instead. Not sorry.
